Walk, explore, and relax in the enchanted Vandeleur Walled Garden, one of County Clare's most beautiful botanical tributes to Ireland's rich natural history.

Thriving behind old stone walls amongst 170 hectares of woodland near Kilrush in County Clare, the Vandeleur Walled Garden belonged to the Vandeleur family in the 19th century. The charming medley of plants provides a fascinating glimpse into the past. The garden specialises in flora that thrives in this unique microclimate. It also displays water features, a maze, giant chess, and a Victorian style glasshouse.

Visit the contemporary interpretative experience in the refurbished stable block, which includes an audio visual about the area's history. Discover jewellery, local prints, and more in the gift shop.

There are also plants for sale, while the Woodland Bistro offers everything from hearty breakfasts to delicious lunches.
