Cork City and County Archives is home to an extensive archive of various documents. These include record holdings relating to all aspects of Cork history.

The Cork City and County Archives, in the Seamus Murphy Building in Cork City, houses a major archive collection.

These archives include record holdings relating to all aspects of Cork history, official transfers of records from Cork Corporation, Cork County Council, various Urban District Councils and records of defunct organisations such as the Boards of Guardians. Non official records include donations of business, estate, family, labour and church records.

There are also literary collections which include manuscripts of James Sheridan Knowles, 1784-1862 and Canon PA Sheehan, 1852-1913.

There is a research room at the Cork City and County Archives and periodic exhibitions are shown at the centre.
