Established in 1975 Dinos is a family tradition in Cork. In Kinsale, the restaurant and takeaway prides itself on serving fresh fish at reasonable prices in a family friendly atmosphere. You are greeted as a customer but you leave as a friend.

As well as the recognised range of fish, cod, haddock and plaice at Dinos restaurant, they also offer monkfish, salmon and a range of other fish found on the specials board daily. They serve the best of locally sourced burgers from John Barrett's butchers in Kinsale with steak and chicken also featuring on the menu.

Dinos fish suppliers provide fish from only sustainable stocks, and fished with approved fishing practices along the South West coast of Ireland. Their fish is sourced through local Irish boats and trawlers that engage in responsible and sustainable fishing, in working with these local suppliers everyone contributes to and helps develop the local economy and environment.

Dinos fish include, cod fillet, large white flakes of fish meat, separating into segments as you cut through the cod fillet. It has enough substance to absorb traditional seasoning of salt and pepper. Haddock, similar to cod and from the same family has more flavour than cod, but is not as deep in fish meat and may not require as much seasoning. Plaice, part of the flat fish family also referred to as the flounder fish has a creamy white meat with a slight citrus flavour. This fish can be deep fried or grilled with a drizzle of olive oil and lemon juice. Salmon has a distinctive look with pink flesh and meaty substance. It is a tasty fish that can be enjoyed with a good glass of red wine. Lemon sole, an oval shaped body from the flat fish family it is best eaten grilled with a drizzle of olive oil and lemon. It gets its name from being shaped like a lemon.
