Funkytown Adventure Centre is a watersports business located in Fountainstown, specializing in kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, wakeboarding, sea kayaking, corporate parties, Irish Canoe Union skills courses, summer camps and birthday parties.

Funkytown is ideally located 20 mins from Cork City. Owned and operated by local RNLI Crew member Paddy Quinlan, Funkytown opened its doors in 2010. Funkytown has moved from strength to strength over the past 6 years encompassing a range of activities and watersports servicing the local area and surrounding greater Cork region.

The core watersports consist of kayaking, stand up paddleboarding and wakeboarding. Summer camps run from June through to August for kids from 8 years old up to 16. For adults a number of options exist, from beach kayak rental to cave exploration trips, enclosed sea kayak skills courses to coastal trips.

Group days out have a minimum of 10 to a max of 120. Many optional extras can be included to spice up your day out such as BBQ's, connecting bus serices, inflatable tubing, sea safaris and many more.

Funkytown strives to provide whatever the customer wants, organizing unique once off days for the likes of Scouting Ireland and Ventact Ireland. Facilitating special needs groups and providing private tuition is on an ongoing basis and growing each year providing watersports facilities and access to all aspects of society.

In need of adventure get into the water and try one of the many water-based sports on offer. Test your balance on stand-up paddle boarding, take a gentle paddle in a kayak or speed about on a rib. The choice is yours, expand your horizons.
