Cork marks 17th May, the International Day Against Homophobia, Lesbophobia, Transphobia and Biophobia (IDAHOBIT) each year with LGBTI+ Awareness Week, reaffirming a commitment to equality, inclusion, and solidarity.
Cork LGBTI+ Inter Agency and Triskel Arts Centre present a screening of the acclaimed drama RŪRANGI. It follows Caz who returns for the first time to the home he fled a decade earlier – the remote and racially diverse small Kiwi town of Rūrangi. Estranged from the community he abandoned before his transition, Caz attempts to reconnect with family and friends.
There will be a wine reception, sponsored by Coolgrey, at 17:15 and the film will start at 18:00. Event is free but ticketed (tickets available from 13 May at 10:00).
