Stroll to the lighthouse and check out the breathtaking views or challenge yourself with one of the hiking trails along the Sheep's Head Way. The 88km long-distance trail begins in the charming town of Bantry, taking you through the Sheep's Head peninsula. Explore the route over several days or choose one of the shorter looped walks. Spot dolphins and whales from the westernmost tip of the headland and see historical treasures including stone circles, old churches and a Napoleonic signal tower.

Tips from locals

Check out the epic Sheep's Head Cycling route, approximately 100km long. It starts at Ballickey and covers the north side of the peninsula, returning through Durrus and on to Ballydehob.
