University College Cork or UCC, dates back to 1845 and its seamless combination of the old and new provide an inspiring place to visit in Cork City. UCC is located on the western part of Cork City, about 1km from the city centre.

University College Cork or UCC in Cork City, is located at the centre of the UCC campus, this Visitor Centre is both the main information point and also the starting point for regular walking tours of the University.

The walking tours trace the history and culture of the University while visitors can see the Gothic Revival Quadrangle, Ogham stones, Aula Maxima (Great Hall) and The Glucksman Gallery. Audio tours are also available.

Whether you are looking for today's newspaper, a book on your favourite subject, or a souvenir of your visit to Cork City and UCC, there is a shop to suit you on campus. There are also plenty of cafés, bars and restaurants to choose from at UCC.
