On August 16th and 17th, the Gallaghers will take to the stage at Croke Park, playing to more than 160,000 fans over two nights. While the band’s return is a cause for global celebration, their appearance in Dublin carries added weight. The brothers’ Irish heritage is well known: born in Manchester to an Irish mother from Mayo and father from Meath, they spent many of their childhood summers in the west of Ireland. Their bond with Ireland runs deep, and the Irish are more than happy to welcome them home.
As the Croke Park gigs approach, now’s the perfect time to swot up on your Oasis trivia, dust off your vinyls, and relive the sound of a band that never really left our hearts.
