National Symphony Chorus Ireland celebrates its 40th anniversary with choral music to soothe the heart and stir the soul. Long-standing chorus friend Gerhard Markson returns to conduct Wagner's great choral hymn from Die Meistersinger, Bruckner's monumental Te Deum (performed in the choir's first concert in 1985), and the world premiere of Rhona Clarke's Points of Light, inspired by nature and the light of sun, moon and stars.
Soloists include 'tour de force' (The i Paper) soprano Ailish Tynan, 'utterly entrancing' (BBC Music) mezzo-soprano Anna Stéphany, 'ringing tenor' (Operabase) Sunnyboy Dladla, and 'rising young baritone' (The Times) James Atkinson.
