Few figures in music history have left as profound a mark as Quincy Jones. In a special tribute, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and guest vocalists – led by Guy Barker, himself a trumpet player in the Quincy Jones band – celebrate his legacy.
Over a career spanning more than 70 years, Jones earned 28 Grammy Awards and collaborated with legends like Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Miles Davis, Count Basie, and Ella Fitzgerald.
Expect an evening of show-stopping classics including Fly Me to the Moon, Thriller, Soul Bossa Nova, In the Heat of the Night, One Mint Julep, On Days like These, Ease on Down the Road, Come Fly with Me, Ironside, Let the Good Times Roll, She’s Out of My Life, Miss Celie’s Blues, The Self-Preservation Society and Razzamatazz.
