The Skids were formed in 1977 by Stuart Adamson and Richard Jobson in Dunfermline, Fife. They went onto record many top 20 songs such as Into the valley, The Saints are Coming and Working for the Yankee Dollar. Their songs have been covered by the likes of U2 and Greenday as well as being used at various football stadiums around the world.
They came back with new material in 2018 that surprised everyone and was an instant success before they went onto to tour the UK and beyond to sell out crowds. They remain an influence on many bands and artists that followed in their wake such as Manic Street Preachers and Johnny Marr.
