Celebrating Bealtaine, May Day
Oughterard, Co. Galway
4 May 2025
Usher in summer at Brigit’s Garden with a beautiful evening of tradition, storytelling, song and meditation Sunday 4th May, 7pm - 9pm. Decorate the May-bush, light the twin fires & welcome the season in their Roundhouse nestled in the Celtic Gardens.

As the days grow longer and summer beckons, join a joyful evening celebration of the Celtic fire festival of Bealtaine, May Day.

Held in the magical setting of the thatched Roundhouse and Celtic Gardens, this gathering is a chance to honour the turning of the seasons with community, ritual and joy. Together, decorate the traditional May-bush, light the twin Bealtaine fires (weather permitting), and reconnect with the rhythms of the earth.

The evening will weave together song, storytelling, guided meditation and heartfelt traditions that awaken our connection to the land. As the sun sets, stay a little longer to share a poem or song by the fire with a warm cuppa, and enjoy a gentle, nourishing close to a special evening.
