Galway Comedy Festival
Galway City, Co. Galway
21 October - 27 October 2025
GALWAY becomes Ireland’s Comedy Capital this October Bank Holiday, with the nation’s biggest comedy festival taking over the city’s pubs and theatres for seven nights of fun, laughter, mischief, and merriment.

We will enjoy six nights of world class comedy at the Town Hall Theatre with Omid Djalili, Chris McCausland, Al Porter, Emma Doran & Aoife Dunne. On the afternoon of Sun 26 Oct, fans of Deirde O'Kane & Emma Doran's hit Keep It Tight Podcast can have their laughter forever immortalised at a special live recording.

After a hugely successful debut last year, CroíACT (pronounced “Craic’d”) is set to return on Wed 22 Oct. Last year’s inaugural event raised an incredible €20,000 (€10k each) for two local charities — Croí and ACT for Meningitis — as eight brave members of the Galway community stepped far outside their comfort zones to deliver stand-up comedy routines after a training programme with well-known comedian Karl Spain.

There will be something for everyone at The Black Box Theatre with a wide range of acts performing on mixed bill galas - including Rich Hall, Dylan Moran, Andrew Maxwell, Aoife Dunne, Emma Doran, Al Porter & Deirdre O'Kane - as well as solo shows from Jack Dee & Dylan Moran.
