Located just 3km from Portmagee village, high above the wave-lashed cliffs of Kerry Head at the most westerly point of the headland once stood two stonebuilt forts; today all that survives is a stone wall a few feet high with sheer 60ft cliffs behind it and acres of wild wind-blown bogland in front. The cliffs are the nearest viewing point to the famous Skellig Islands and to Puffin Island.
Food and refreshments are served all day in the indoor - outdoor coffee shop with spectacular views up to 30 miles of the surrounding areas.
