Tralee, Co. Kerry
16 October - 9 November 2025
Family friendly
This autumn, Kerry invites you to experience Samhain Chiarraí: A Kerry Halloween — a festival of fire, folklore, and community spirit that celebrates the true Celtic roots of Halloween.

From 16th October to 9th November, Samhain Chiarraí invites locals and visitors to embrace the mystical, ancestral spirit of the Celtic New Year. Highlights include vibrant street spectacles and processions from 24th October to 2nd November, aligned with the mid-term break, plus community events across Kerry with music, food, folklore, & storytelling.

Tralee: 25th–27th October

Killarney: 30th–31st October

Listowel: 1st–2nd November

At its core is the legend of An Cailleach Chiarraí—the wild Goddess of Winter—who rises to mark harvest’s end and the darker half of the year. Her presence celebrates the Celtic calendar’s turning and our deep bond with nature and the supernatural. Join us in Kerry this Halloween and step into living tradition.
