Make the trip to Great Samphire Island and enjoy panoramic views of Tralee Bay in County Kerry.
Situated on a rock in Tralee Bay, Great Samphire Island is encompassed by the harbour and port of Fenit. Adjacent to the island is its smaller twin 'Little Samphire Island,' both of which were named after the small flowering plant.
On low tide, walk along the harbour to explore the islands and see inside the impressive Fenit Lighthouse which was built in 1851. Admire the large bronze sculpture crafted in honour of St Brendan the Navigator, who hales from Fenit village.
