Visit the Kilkenny Union Workhouse, now beautifully restored as MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre in the heart of Kilkenny City, to take this free self guided audio visual tour at the Kilkenny Famine Experience.

Uncover the history of the Great Irish Famine on a visit to the Kilkenny Famine Experience in Kilkenny City. Learn about the unexpected discovery of over 970 human remains described as the most significant discovery in the world relating to the Irish Famine.
