The Rising Sun Restaurant, Mullinavat, County Kilkenny was originally an ale house built in 1644 during the Cromwellian era. Today, the Rising Sun Restaurant offers an all day food service including breakfast, carvery lunch, a bar menu and an a la carte menu.

The Rising Sun Restaurant, in Mullinavat, County Kilkenny is a place where customers can enjoy a luxurious three course meal or happily while away unaccounted hours over lattes, or a drink with friends in surroundings that soothe and please. For over thirty years The Rising Sun Restaurant has been offering good quality, value for money, home cooked meals for its customers. A carvery lunch is served daily and the intimate restaurant offers the best in local produce with all of our stock bought fresh that morning and prepared in our very own kitchen by our superb team of chefs and cooks. The restaurant is family friendly with an extensive children’s menu, high chairs and colouring sheets to help keep the kids entertained.

The Rising Sun Restuarant can cater for parties or groups of any size from two to two hundred. Facilities are available for birthday parties, christenings, communions and confirmation parties with tailor made menus to suit all tastes and budgets.
