The Foxford Woollen Mills was established in 1892 by Sister Agnes Morrogh-Bernard, and the award-winning Foxford Woollen Mills Visitor Centre and Store is located in one of the original buildings.

Foxford Woollen Mills was established on the banks of the River Moy and has been providing for the locals of this Mayo town for over a century. At the working Mill, master craftspeople continue to weave fabric to this day, informed by a very modern aesthetic, but inspired by the stunning landscape of the west coast. The contemporary designs are valued all over the world, respected for their heritage and represent the best in quality and craftsmanship.

Take a guided tour of the Mill to hear the fascinating tale of one woman’s incredible determination and triumph over adversity and learn about techniques that have been passed down through generations.

Shop at Foxford’s flagship store where contemporary throws, scarves and baby blankets created in the Mill are complemented by Foxford’s lifestyle brand of premium product ranges of bed linen, towels, homewares and gift ideas.

Relax upstairs in Foxford Café, listen to the sound of the weaving looms beneath your feet as you enjoy a tasty menu filled with the very best of local produce and quality seasonal ingredients, all handmade on site at Foxford Woollen Mills open 7 days.
