The Linenhall Arts Centre, in Castlebar, County Mayo, offers a broad range of art activities throughout the year which includes drama, music, literature, film and participatory events for both adults and children.

The Linenhall Arts Centre, Castlebar, has been providing an arts service to the people of County Mayo for over 30 years which includes music, visual arts, film, festivals, drama, literature and participation arts.

The Linenhall Art Centre's ongoing programme includes world music, traditional, blues, jazz, classical, country and much more. The Linenhall programmes professional theatre, with both Irish and international companies regularly featuring. The Linenhall Gallery shows a range of contemporary art in a series of exhibitions throughout the year in the dedicated gallery space. The work ranges from that of younger emerging artists to those of international reputation.

Poetry readings, lectures, book launches, informal get togethers; in fact anything to do with the written word; all are regularly accommodated and indeed celebrated at the Linenhall. The Linenhall Film Club runs through the autumn and spring seasons with fortnightly screenings.

The Linenhall Arts Centre hosts RoolaBoola, one of Ireland’s finest children’s arts festivals, each October for the week running into the bank holiday weekend. There is also an extensive programme of participatory arts workshops.
