Established in 2016, the Mayo Dark Sky Festival is now the premier event of its kind in the country. With themes of science, biodiversity and culture, visitors will get to experience the magic of Mayo's dark skies in a stunning natural setting.
Events includes talks and workshops on topics such as astronomy, photography, biodiversity and health, as well as family friendly seashore safaris, guided planetarium shows, Lego workshops, dark sky walks and musical performances.
There is a free shuttle bus service running regularly between the main venues, and children go free to all talks and walks.
There is something for everyone to enjoy at this very special festival which celebrates all aspects of Mayo's natural, unpolluted dark skies.
