Newport Grainneuaile Festival
Newport, Co. Mayo
2 August - 4 August 2024
Family friendly
The Grainneuaile Festival is a music and community festival that has been held across the August Bank Holiday weekend in Newport Town for over 50 years.

Newport town has enjoyed a resurgence in recent times. Since becoming a mid point in the Great Western Greenway the town has enjoyed increased visitors to the area and with that a reopening of local businesses. Couple this with other local groups hosting events such as the Newport 300 celebrations, The Mayo Dark Skies Festival and the newly established John McFadden Festival to name but a few, Newport is now firmly on the map.

The Grainneuaile Festival has been a set date in many families calendars and it is often the weekend that our diaspora return home to meet up with friends and family and enjoy all the festival has to offer. Live music was provided on Main Street for 3 nights.
