This breathtaking beach provides open views out into the Atlantic and toward Inishturk and Inishbofin. It's been awarded the Green Coast Award in recognition of its clean environment, excellent water quality and natural beauty.

Silver Strand is sheltered by rocky headlands and high sand dunes. It's a popular swimming spot; however, conditions are known to change quickly and it is not lifeguarded, so swimmers should take caution.
