The Snailbox is a family run pub, restaurant and venue near Ashbourne in County Meath. They take pride from serving the freshest quality food and drinks in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. There is live traditional music every weekend and they show all major sporting events.

The Snailbox traditional pub, restaurant and venue is owned and run by the Foster Family and their friendly efficient staff.

The Snailbox is perfect for meeting with friends, having a quiet drink or sitting outside and having a bite to eat.

This cosy traditional pub is a great spot to meet with friends over a tasty pint of the black stuff, to watch the weekend rugby or football. Bring along a musical instrument and join in with our resident traditional band who play there every Friday and Saturday.

The restaurant is open all year round and has a range of various tasty menus to choose from

The Snailbox is also a popular venue for parties and functions. Their events team Caroline and Shauna are here every step from your initial enquiry to the final farewell so you can have a stress free and fun time at your party. They organise everything from Irish traditional music nights, weddings, birthdays and charity events, and can cater for up to 140 people.

Check out their ever expanding baseball hat collection. Donate any old (or new) caps and get a Snailbox Cap in return.

The Snailbox courtesy bus is available for our guests to use. They pick up locally and drop home. They can also pick up groups of 10 or more from Dublin areas and drop home so you can enjoy yourself at the venue without worrying about having to drive.

The Snailbox is a venue that is more than a traditional pub, restaurant or venue, it’s a destination where friends and families can get together and have a memorable time.
