Birr Outdoor Education and Training Centre is located in Birr, County Offaly. They offer outdoor education courses to groups of people of all ages and abilities. They provide qualified instructors, activities, meals and all the necessary specialist equipment required. Courses are flexible and programmed to meet the needs of each individual group.

Birr Outdoor Education and Training Centre supplies action packed programmes for young adventurers. There is accommodation for 40 people with supporting facilities. There is also a full range of specialist equipment for all courses including a classroom, lecture room and swimming pool.

The centre is located in Birr, County Offaly, utilising the River Shannon as the base for a range of water sports education courses including canoeing, sailing and boardsailing. Activities on offer at the Birr Outdoor Education and Training Centre include, archery, body surfing, camp craft, climbing tower, hillwalking, kayaking, ecology, orienteering, raft building, rock climbing and team building.

There are residential and non residential summer camps during July and August. Birr Outdoor Education Centre run a variety of Adventure days and Adventure Camps, for teenagers and children from April to October. Those attending have the opportunity to try out a wide range of Adventure Sports, as well as camping in the Slieve Blooms and other magical places. They have a team of qualified and motivated instructors, a large variety of activities and resources, and the experience of over 40 years in this field.
