Jackie Mahon Angling Guide & Flytier, from County Sligo, is a full time professional fly fishing guide on Lough Arrow and on Lough Melvin in counties Leitrim and Fermanagh. Jackie is also a fly dresser for Irish trout lough flies and salmon lough flies.

Jackie Mahon Angling Guide & Flytier has been guiding on Lough Arrow and Lough Melvin for over 10 years.

Lough Arrow is one of the great Irish trout fishing loughs, where the average trout weighs from 1.5lb to 6lb. It is a limestone lough incredibly rich in wildlife and scenery. The season starts from the 1st April to the 30th September each year.

Lough Melvin is a beautiful, unspoilt lough famous for its variety of trout which include brown trout, char, ferox, gillaroo and sonaghan.

It also has a head of salmon that runs into the lake from the River Drowes. The season here starts from the 15th February to the 30th of September each year.
