Join us to learn about the variety of edible seaweeds growing on our shore. Hear how to cook with them, their nutritional and medicinal value and other uses. Take home a small bag of fresh seaweed to eat!

This walk is a short introduction to seaweeds and their use in cookery, skincare and gardening.

You will explore the rocky shore, learn how to forage sustainably, taste wild seaweed and meet other people interested in this native superfood.

Seaweed has been part of the traditional coastal diet for centuries and is now undergoing a revival, because of it's health benefits and unique flavours.
