Jay Azzolina has been a key figure in the New York jazz scene for over three decades.
A Berklee College of Music graduate, he studied under legends like Pat Metheny, Mick Goodrick, and Charlie Banacos before launching a vibrant career collaborating with artists such as Jaco Pastorius, Herbie Mann, Spyro Gyra, Randy Brecker, and John Patitucci.
As a leader, Jay has released four albums of original compositions featuring top players like Chris Potter, Larry Goldings, and Greg Hutchinson, with a fifth—Present Tense—due this year. For Jazz at Johnstown, he’ll be joined by drummer Kevin Lawlor and bassist Andrew Csibi.
