Red Kite Walk at Kilmagig Woods in the heart of the garden county. This is a mixed woodland which provides the backdrop to the picturesque village of Avoca. On this 2km looped walk where it may be possibility to spot a Red Kite bird.

Avoca Red Kite Loop takes you through some wonderful woodland and you can view the village from the forest walk that overlooks it, just follow the red way signs.

Not only will walkers love this 2km trail, but birdwatchers are in for a real treat too! Red Kite birds who have made their habitat around the Red Kite Walk, which is part of the forest. This self-guided walk overlooks Avoca Village and has some stunning scenery along its route. There’s also a cemetery along the trail dating back to the 1800s, along with beautiful flora and fauna.
