Rathsallagh Country House, Dunlavin County Wicklow are winners of numerous awards including the Gold Medal Award for Country House of the Year.

The Dining Room at Rathsallagh Country House is an award winning restaurant located in this grade A country house in Dunlavin, County Wicklow. Rathsallagh was originally a country house converted from Queen Anne stables in 1798. Although it is located just one hour south of Dublin Airport, Rathsallagh is set in a peaceful oasis of 530 acres of parkland which also incorporates a golf course.

The Dining Room at Rathsallagh Country House takes great pride in the quality of the food it serves to guests. All the lamb and beef is grass fed and reared on local farms. The fish comes direct from the boats in Duncannon in County Wexford. They serve home smoked fish and meat products using wood from Rathsallagh’s own sustainable plantations. Seasonal herbs and vegetables come from their own gardens, and eggs from their free range hens. The cheese trolley showcases the incredible range of Irish cheeses from small farms all over Ireland, while they also celebrate some of the great cheeses of France and other parts of Europe. All preserves, marmalades, jams, chutneys, and fruit compotes are home made at Rathsallagh. They bake their own bread including gluten free and produce chocolates for petit fours. The Dining Room at Rathsallagh Country House can cater for coeliac and other dietary requirements just let them know and they will be delighted to look after you.

Recommended by international good food and hotel guides Rathsallagh is also a member of Ireland's prestigious Blue Book. The dining room also has an impressive wine list. Rathsallagh has won the National Breakfast Award four times over the last few years.

The DiningRroom at Rathsallagh Country House can cater for up to 120 people and the Executive Head Chef ensures that every meal is a memorable one. Rathsallagh caters for weddings, and private dining is also available. Located just off the N9 between Carlow and Kilcullen, it is ideally placed for dinner after racing at The Curragh or Punchestown racecourses.
