Burren Experience Guided Walks
More from visitors like you
Immerse yourself in the magic of the hidden Burren with Marie McGauran, a native qualified walking guide who leads heritage, nature and spiritual walks in the Burren National Park.

Burren Experience Guided Walks take in some of the more remote and beautiful parts of the Mountain within the Burren National Park. The walks are very much walks of engagement and include insight and interpretation on the historical and spiritual landmarks as well as the botany, geology, and farming of the area. Marie’s love and passion for her local area is enhanced by the in-depth knowledge she gained during the completion of an honours degree in Heritage Studies.

With your local guide, gain access to areas of beauty which are otherwise inaccessible to visitors. Having lived her entire life in the shadow of Mullaghmore mountain, Marie offers varied walking experiences, each tailored to suit different needs. These walks include:

The Mullaghmore Experience: A nature walk and immersion in the Burren

Walk Within: A spiritual walk

Stones and Stories: A farm heritage walk

Walk duration is approximately 2 hours and vary from a relaxed ramble to a strenuous walk for the more serious walking enthusiast

Specialised walks are available and can be tailored to accommodate the specific requirements of the person or group. One to one walks and wheelchair accessible walks can also be arranged.
