The Fit-up Festival is based on the old system of touring professional theatre shows to rural locations in ireland during the summer. The West Cork Fit-up Festival has been inexistent since 2009 and has toured almost 80 professional shows to island and mainland venues. The home of the Fit-up is Ballydehob and a tented venue provides a central location at the beginning of August for Edinburgh-bound theatre shows of the highest quality. Family and children's events are also catered for with the Wobbly Circus and clown performances and workshops. All children's events are free.
