Aniar Restaurant & Cookery School serves produce almost exclusively from the west of Ireland. The natural course of the seasons dictate the ever changing and evolving menu. Led by Chef Patron JP McMahon, the intimate dining room inspires attention and reflection, creating a quiet connection between place, ingredient and guest.
Using wild and foraged local ingredients, JP likes to foster old traditional cooking and preservation methods, aiming to look back in order to look forward to the future of Irish food. It is only by understanding the culinary past that the untapped resources of the future be unlocked.
The restaurant is home to a Cookery School, with one day workshops and private classes delivered by JP in his very personable style.
