Inspired by owner JP's long standing passion for Japanese food, Kombu, named after the Japanese seaweed is characterised by a bold, flavour driven menu rooted in the traditions of Japanese street food. Described by JP as a love letter to Japan, ramen, bao, tempura and yakitori are made with care and served generously in a room that feels lively, contemporary and open to everyone.
Kombu is the realisation of JP's love of Japanese food, which he has long admired. He is also passionate about cooking with seaweed, utilising it broadly in his restaurant Aniar, so opening Kombu Ramen & Bao Bar felt like a natural evolution.
