Our festival includes adult and children’s storytelling performances, storytelling in the barn, two lectures, story swaps, two plays a storytelling evening and musical concert. All set in the beautiful village of Sneem, Co Kerry.
Sneem hosts storytellers, entertainers and patrons from all over the world which have included Hawaii, Denmark, Australia, USA as well as more expected places as Ireland and UK. Visitors of all ages are able to see performances of storytelling, plays, folklore, music at a number of venues such as Sneem Hotel, a barn, church and have the chance to tell their own tales in local hostelries,.
The festival is aimed at perpetuating the storytelling culture of Kerry and even has a performances children as a means of introducing school agers to the tradition.
Our festival now in its 12th year is a firm favourite with those interested in these traditions and we welcome many patrons time and again.
