Spillane’s is a long established family-run, family friendly, bar & restaurant on the scenic Maharees Peninsula, that first opened in 1875. Their extensive menu offers a wide range of dishes with the emphasis on local seafood, fresh vegetables grown locally in season, premium Irish beef, typical Irish traditional fare, as well as daily specials, pizzas, homemade burgers and homemade desserts, a good wine list and friendly staff.
Chosen as ‘Best Gastro Pub in Kerry 2012’ at the Irish Restaurant Awards, they have also been awarded the prestige of the Seafood Circle Award for several years as well as a listing in the Georgina Campbell Guide to the best of Ireland.
The dining room overlooks Brandon Bay and Mount Brandon and the sunset is spectacular on a summer’s evening. There are sea and mountain views and outdoor tables for dining when weather permits. During the busy summer season it is advisable to book your table in advance, although Spillane’s will try to fit you in if at all possible.
They are happy to cater for parties and occasions and can tailor menus to suit a range of budgets. The local traditional Irish music band plays regularly during the summer months.
