The Púca Mask Making Workshop
Family friendly
Join artist Rita Duffy and storyteller Nuala Hayes for The Púca Mask Making Workshop — a Samhain-inspired, hands-on celebration of creativity, imagination, and play, where stories spark art and every mask tells its own tale.

Inspired by the stories of Peig Sayers and the Púca, this hands-on mask making workshop is all about letting your imagination run wild – a joyful celebration of storytelling, creativity, and play. Suitable for 7+ years.

In keeping with the tradition of Samhain we present this hands-on mask-making workshop. Beginning with a spellbinding story from Nuala, then young people will dive into a world of creativity, exploring mask designs influenced by Rita’s travels through South America. Participants will create their own unique masks using gathered and found materials. We encourage attendees to bring along some of their own unusual treasures: ribbons, bottle tops, fabric scraps… anything odd or interesting for some sustainable crafting!
